this table/fire pit arrives in a large flat box which is roughly 70x70cm and heavy but not so much that it cannot be lifted by one person and easily transported through the house. no need to worry about a bulky delivery causing access issues.
the table requires assembly but it's just a matter of organising the pieces and then bolting them together with the supplied bolts, washers and allen key. the diagram instructions are nice and clear and all parts are clearly labelled.
I recommend having two people to assemble so things can be held in place as it's quite difficult balancing the panels before they're all joined to give them some rigidity. all screws should be left a little loose to allow you to square it all properly and tighten everything when it's all assembled. getting the door to sit straight only requires adjusting the top and bottom bolts in their slots on the hinge side but there is a slight knack to getting it perfect. i suggest getting the rest squared first and do that last but be prepared to make some tweaks to get it all just-so. total assembly should easily be under 30 minutes though.
if building indoors i recommend using the shipping box as a protective surface and attaching the tabletop to the base and doing the final tightening outside as you may struggle to get the fully assembled table through a normal external door.
once built the table looks amazing, the finish on everything was great and it was all well protected to avoid scratches in transit. the controls are easy to access and it lights beautifully. the battery for the igniter is installed by unscrewing the ignition switch by the way and it just slots in the front, was the only thing i couldn't find in the instructions so had to muddle my way through figuring out.
care should be taken to follow the instructions for the placement and lighting of the rocks to ensure safe operation, the same goes for hooking up and operating the gas bottle.
it comes with a cover to protect it from UV but it's recommended to not store it outside in extreme weather. with the gas bottle disconnected it is easy enough to move into a shed if needed though. the cover includes important safety instructions which are very useful but not the most aesthetic which may annoy some (safety first i say)
all in all it's a beautiful table that is nicely made. we're extremely pleased with it and look forward to spending many evenings outside in the summer sat around it.
